it looks like it's headed right to Nova Scotia. this is the current projected wind speeds:
I live where it's projected to be 130 km/hr. Keep your fingers crossed that it will blow east a bit and go out to sea.

I think this is out of date already... darn storm not being too predictable. In this chart I'm in the 100-130Km/h area but the latest track has it moving more to the west of the province so we might be just fine. Time will tell. Have to find a beach somewhere though as I'm sure there's going to be some surf!
Here is the NOAA site with all the information you need on Earl. They do regular updates as well.

Get yourself prepared now guys.... Stash 10 gallons of drinking water, non perishable food, batteries for flashlight etc. and do it now. Don't wait until the last minute. If you can get a hold of a generator then grab one but make sure to use it in well ventilated places so as not to have issues with CO2.
for luck.

Yup, looks like it could get a little breezy and damp. We have been here before though.
Kindest regards,

Fingers crossed for you. These storms are so erratic, so with some luck it'll miss you.
Even on the latest path you are going to get some serious winds and rain Bambi!! We'll be thinking of you and Iggy ... and everyone in that area really ... Hurricanes are no fun! You might have some interesting photos to take after it passes though. Stay safe!
thanks MA. We will hunker tomorrow and then see what's what. My son comes home this weekend, fortunately his plane is tonight not tomorrow!
