    Talking Bambiland?

so Ed and I finally did it. We bought a farm. Well not a farm. A house and some land. it's all part of the grand dream to move to the country (well more country then we are now). We will be building a barn and I will be able to have my horse at home rather then pay board and have all that stress.

Oh and tomorrow we are leaving for Quebec to take Alec to the Military college. So what can I say my life is a bit busy these days.

these are not my pictures but from the sales ad.
the house. Small but we're looking at putting an addition on the right- where the porch is with a family room downstairs and a master suite upstairs.

more pictures are here. REALTOR.ca - Property Details 60346285
it consists of 18 acres of pasture/woods.
now all I need is fencing, a barn, riding ring......... forget a baby shower, I need a new farm owner shower!!!

it has a woodlot so we will likely be bringing someone with a portable sawmill to cut some boards. That's allows us to keep the designation as a woodlot and benefits us with fencing materials

Congrat's on the new homestead Bambi. Sounds like you have a nice future planned ahead of you and yours out in your acreage.
BUT, believe me, you are not even REMOTELY busy right now.
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!

thanks everyone. we are quite excited as it starts to sink in.....
We drove from Bridgewater to Dummondville today (about 13 hours) and it gave us time to talk about plans, hopes etc.

the moving will suck but it's the last home before the kids stick us in the nursing home

as soon as I can I will get more pictures. it didn't feel right to take any until it was ours.
