With this shot, I used the Canon STE2 Speedlite Transmitter to trigger - both lights had the shoot through umbrella on stands.

Poor little guy's belly is lit beautifully - his face is a bit in the shadow. imoved the lights around quite a bit... i happened to have this on the computer to add to thread to show that you need to be careful where the light is positioned.

I really like it. Just enough shadow present. There should be some shadow I feel.

thanks, MA - I agree that there should be shadow, but to me the belly sticks out like a sore thumb.

Wonderful shot! Speedlights are such great tools. One by itself is fine and dandy, but two can produce stunning images.

Nice shot of a sleeping baby. I like it just as it is.

4 against you. The tones in this shot are well controlled. Even after you mention the belly sticking out, I don't see it.

perhaps 5-10% + exposure on the face alone would make this sing slightly harder. But this is a really nice shot as is.

Great shot !! Well done !!

I like the contrast with the black it draws your eyes to the child.

As far as the face being a little dark... being a parent you never want to poke a sleeping bear or flash a sleeping baby in the face
