OK I am playing too
I was recently at a conference in Melbourne and had an hour or so between sessions, so went for walk along the Yarra River to undertake this assignment. This assignment was harder than I thought it would be. I think I missed some good shots trying to reserve the 10 images.
In keeping with the intent of the challenge, after the first 2 shots I added an additional limitation of fixed ISO. I was thinking of also fixing white balance (but forgot to), and manual focus (but focusing screens are not what they used to be).
I wasnt real happy with the results. Shot 7-8 were difficult as I was guessing the amount of overexposure to give a natural high key shot. Shot 9 was underexposed as I had an open aperture and I am used to auto ISO taking over. Shot ten was a brain fade trying to remedy shot 9.
I did shoot in raw + jpg, so will have a play with what I can salvage
Thanks AntZ
If anyone is interested I have reworked a couple of the above images and have posted them here http://www.photography.ca/Forums/f11...tml#post131747
I like 7 and 8 and the coiled rope as well and the reflections in the building. Good stuff.
Thanks Iggy,
I forgot to say that I have enjoyed eveyone elses submsssions. It was a difficult assignment and there is a high level of "keepers" among the posted photos.
My ten (#8 was an accidental shot, I was viewing and counting my images, meant to press shutter 1/2 way down to get back to camera mode, pressed too hard)
I've been a little lax in getting out and taking pictures and replying on the forum. I finally managed to get out and do the 10 in a row assignment. Here they are.
