While checking emails this morning I happened to look down to see the light from our family room window streaming on to my desk and side lighting my glasses - picked up my point and shoot, posted in Lr 3 and here it is:

Here is my first attempt for this assignment...It is based on a wooden sculpture and window light. I have used a black layer( underexposed image) to mask the frame of the sculpture. Please let me know if that is acceptable for this assignment...

I thought I would give it a go here, despite my level of proficeincy on the subject.
I tried to include different types of textures hoping they would show up nicely. Unfotunately, it is rainy season around here and the light is so diffused at any time of the day.
But as assignment should be done on time, I will submit this as a first try.
Please give me your C&C in which ever theard I post.
