Glad to be a part of photography.ca
I grew up in Alberta with a Pentax Asahi SLR my grandfather gave me and learned to love SLR photography. Marriage, kids and a need for one-handed simplicity put me behind a point-and-shoot while things turned digital. Once the prices came down on digital SLRs my wife purchased me a D60 for Christmas and I'm back in the game with my old hobby.
A D60?!? you might ask...it's super small and I can haul it everywhere I go. Since the kids are still small I can't go shooting for the afternoon like I used to do but that can wait so, for now, I'll collect lenses and flashes.
INTERESTS: Portraits, nature and still like (my wife makes wedding cakes and I like to document them for her portfolio). We both grew up in the mountains and I think it would be fun to someday own a local that we could book packages for: local, cake and photography! We'll see how that goes...

btw: I live in Chateauguay, QC right now...I like the atmosphere that the old buildings in Montreal and Quebec have to offer...that sort of thing doesn't exist out west.
