Hello I am a newbie digital photography enthustiast from the Netherlands.
I got hooked on the podcastings from marko and now want to see if I can learn a bit more from you all.
Long time ago I have worked with a Minolta 5000i that unfortunately stopped working (AF function broken) and just half a year ago I got an Sony A-200 DSLR that actually could use the lenses from the Minolta (to the surprise of Sigma)
At this moment I am just back from a holiday to China where I took the world of pictures that I hope contain a couple of show worthy pictures. I am processing them right now so I hope to have a few to share with you soon. I hope it wont take too long as it is an advantage as well as a disadvantage of a DSLR you take too many pictrures about 12 GB of JPG pictures... (No I do not shoot RAW yet for this holiday too many pictures to be shot)
Currently I am interested in the broad-spectrum of photography as my Holiday pictures prove. But I would like to do some experimenting with portraits of people on the street. Anyone who could give me hints on how to approach this without either being "the sneaky person" taking pictures of people with a Telezoom and on the other-side not passing a perfect picture just to ask permission.
Thanks and I hope to contribute from time to time.
To Marko I would like to say Thanks for the many Podcasts as they have helped me already with my current level of photograpy.
