Newbie for Central Louisiana

Hello all, I am new, both to the forum and to photography as an art, so please bear with me if I don't understand or need clarification on certain terms or seemingly normal knowledge, I apologize in advance. I like karaoke, am completely comfortable around new people, although not very sociable at first, mostly because I know I tend to have a fairly brash personality that doesn't mesh well with some, so I take a backseat for a while to learn whether or not they could handle my personality

This is a great place to learn photography.

Tell us a little about yourself, what equipment do you have, see some of your work, etc.

You may want to see if CenLa has a chapter of Louisiana Photographic Society. I recently joined the club here in Baton Rouge. They have some really good guys to learn from as well.
