Hello everyone.

I'm Leigh and I'm relatively new to photography. I've had my Nikon D5000 for a few years but I don't use it nearly as often as I should. I'm trying to change that.

I'm looking forward to joining a community and hopefully having feedback that goes a bit further than the grandparents' comments, which are restricted to whether or not their grandkid was smiling in the photo. (Also, I need to take pictures of something other than just my kid.)

I really enjoy your podcasts, Marko. I don't know why I took a couple of years to check out the forum.

I did a quick search of Flickr for you, but no hits. Please post a link.

I noticed you already posted a couple images directly to the site. Since you have a Flickr acct, it is much easier to just post images from there, so you don't have to worry about your images being resized and soft.

Welcome Leigh - Thanks for the comments and glad you joined!

Flickr is great for sure but if you did want to post directly, so long as the image is 1024 pixels or less in width AND less than 325 K - zero softness or compression will occur.
