Hello from Canada west coast

I've been checking out forums for a couple of days and this one looks great, just the right amount of knowledge for me in the threads and in a language I can understand. What really attracted me was the way you all critique photos... in a manner to push the photographer forward.
I haven't seriously picked up a camera for many years, but as I am close to retiring, it's time to revisit things I truly enjoyed.

I've joined the forum a little early as I hate lurking, but I've got my work cut out for me before I get too involved. These digital cameras are mind blowing. I feel like I've woken up from a 20 year coma. Next thing I know, they'll be making cell phones that fit in my pocket

Thank you. I call them hopes, Iguanasan and I know you will. Expectations are things I gave up for New Years and I've been happy for 59 days now.
