Hello from the Northwest Territories

Greetings to all from the great white north (although it is has been hot and dry so far this summer).

I am an amateur photographer and started taking photos about 40 years ago on an old 110 camera and eventually moved up to a film SLR. I stopped for while in the 1990s when I moved north because the cost of the film processing was too expensive. I got my first digital camera in 1998 and I am on currently using my 7th and 8th digital cameras since then (with an eye on a 9th). I typically give my old cameras to my kids or to the schools to use. I enjoy the peacefulness of just getting out and taking pictures.

I look forward to going through and looking at some of the other great photos that are posted and look forward to hearing from you when I post my photos.
