I have been listening to some of the podcast and enjoying what I here, I contacted Marko with a suggestion or two. I asked for a critique of some of my work, he suggested that I join, so here I am.

I am an aspirational amateur who has sold a few photographs and wish to learn as much as I can.

I have photographs on a number of sites:

1. Flickr
2. 500px / Andy Stuart

There are others but these hold most of my work and the best of my work. One of my faults is not being able to appraise my own work if anyone has any techniques for that enables them to become detached from the work I'll be delighted.

Some lovely photos from those links!
Feel free to post 1-2 photos per thread (and start as many threads as you like) in the critique forum and we'll give you solid and constructive criticism.
Being objective about one's own work is very difficult for the majority of photographers i know.

Being able to evaluate your own work comes with practice and experience. I find it helpful to give the images time to "ripen" - in other words put them away for a month or two and then go back to them and see what you think. I often find images that I loved at the time are really not good, and images I overlooked become gems. Giving them some time allows the emotional connections with the shoot to mellow and you can be more objective.
