I am okay with September too.....I think it has to be on a weekend day.. that has to be a must in order to get a turnout.
Agreed...lets get going and make this thing happen.

September also works for me. Now kat has offered her hubby to do the logo or help us with it and I think we should take her up on the offer. I like the camera dial idea maybe he can take the name and the dial and give us something to work with? I have no idea on this name on how to make a logo for it so I am very open to help. The website design we should have one person do it and then put it up for opinions to fine tune it. I think both of these can be done without much fuss and lets decide to get at least the logo done because we want it and I feel we should use the one logo across the spectrum from website to any marketing we do, it should be all encompassing for our look and feel. Ok no issues if we throw the logo to kat's hubby? Good. No problems with the date? Let us give that one day so those who are not around yet have a say but unless there is a compelling reason we should stick to the date Iggy suggested. Logo is the next main item, it will be needed to design the website around it is my feeling but if someone thinks they can start the site without it great. Saturday morning the latest on these decisions in my opinion, if no one has an issue by then we assume they agree and we move forward. A Saturday is the best day to hold these events in my experience.

Here's an idea...Note that I suck for design so it would have to be done by someone knows what they're doing, kat???
But I thought I'd give whomever it is something to start with for an idea....
I like the idea ... looks interesting ... play with font and layout a little ... oh, and September works for me as well .. our Photoclub will be back in session here in Calgary, maybe I can get some support there as well ..so far noone has responded to the post I put on the internal discussion board ...

Looks like publicphotography.org is the winning name.
So now the all important question how do we start?

Here is a basic T-shirt idea. The wording could be anything and the graphic is clipart from my word program.
Well first, you will need to create a website that explains what it is all about. Have some basic easy to explain ideas. Maybe have an outline for a flyer to print and hand out. Everyone participating could print up a few to hand out on the day of the event. If it's a walk-about with the participants walking around taking photos there is no problem but if it is a public gathering, you may need a permit for that. I think the ideas should be basic and something the public will easily understand without it being confrontational. The public should know that it not only affects pros but hobbyists and even themselves with their little point and shoots or iphone cameras. These are ideas only, as a start.
