Honestly I am happy with whatever is decided. For me it is about the whole idea/movement of what we can accomplish by doing this more than the name.
This week I really have to hunker down and focus on final exams until Thursday so I am going to let others run with it for now.
My only other suggestion was "Exposure Priority"...a double entendre of sorts.

sorry Marko. My brain is not working on this at all. I am open to any of it. However, my suggestions are to
    1. pick a name that is not confrontational
    2. one that any one can understand

I was making up a bunch to try and find a good one, my favourite was "focus for freedom" but "freedom" doesn't fit well. I was trying to indicate "freedom" from being picked on just for taking a few pictures plus I was going for the whole FFF alliteration thingy.

My suggestion is to pick 3 from what we have that is available and do a poll. Either that or we are going to have too many to choose from and no clear consensus on any of them. I also thing you are better able to get a better response by doing a poll.

I'll put up a poll in an hour or two - in the meantime feel free to suggest names that are still available as the poll will only feature names listed in this thread.

I am open to any name, just I am busy and people who are going to be involved need to chime in. I liked the original idea so I am open to any name. Also I think the August date may be unrealistic. What is going to happen at the event itself? Speakers? Everyone bringing a camera? Are we going to get participants to submit photos after the event? What is going to happen at the event?

I am away from home tomorrow morning and not home until Thursday so I was hoping to get the site and logo done by today but we are still stuck on the name which we should have picked by now. So people getting involved know this it will be a lot of work for those helping out and if your going to help you must be serious about it. I want this to happen but I also want it to be successful. I can accept any name but lets pick a name and move on to the rest of the event. The domain I have I can use so it is no issue but we need to get the name picked ASAP. Also we need to think of a date further into the future if a name is not picked by today.

Marko has a Domain and I say just use that name and move ahead with the rest of it. I think also we need to get those involved to have an online meeting in real time. This email and posting to the forum will work once we get the basics of it decided but we might also consider a real time chat for those involved to decide on a few basics. Let me know what you all think and lets get this done and done well.

If I am not available for the next few days it is I just have several meeting at galleries in Quebec about them being me reps and I need to work on that tonight. I am in Quebec City until Wednesday and in Montreal for that night so if we can decide a few things I am hoping to meet with Marko if I can while I am in Montreal so maybe we can hash a a few ideas and post them here.

So in finishing LETS PICK A NAME, lol, they all work on some level and the ones I see here any of them are good and get the message across so it is important we get the name right but it should be the easiest part of all of it.I like the misspelled name, it will catch peoples attention and the only other issue is if we keep posting the names here we need to worry about cyber squatters grabbing it and Marko has paid for one, I have one so one of those two should suffice. I can use the one I have like I mentioned so maybe just go with Marko's pick and go from there. If we do a poll we better buy all 3 because someone may grab as we are trying to decide so I am against the idea of a poll just on that basic premise. If you all want to do a poll go ahead but like I said we better buy all 3 of them just incase.

Ok the poll is attached -- please vote asap!

The two names that are registered are safe and we can use them - the other choices are not registered so if one is chosen we'll need to register it fast....so please vote asap.

    many thx!

I also wanted to add this poll is for everybody to vote...not just Canadians...the more input we have the better and from everybody!

I also agree with AL that the date might have to get pushed back a bit to perhaps the fall. My vision for this is that we do this right and set an example for the rest of the world and other countries to follow in our footsteps...wouldn't that be absolutely fabulous if we started something...a peaceful and nonviolent template of photographers simply expressing their craft freely, openly and publicly without fear of harassment arrest, threat, harm etc. etc.
Would'n't that be a great example for other countries to follow if we can pull this off and pull this off right?

I have already a few flickr contacts who also think this is a great idea and are willing to get involved.
So please, please get your votes in ASAP so we can start working on this thing and make it successful!

Come on, peaceful? Then what are we going to photograph? Violent clashes with the authourities will get us publicity and media attention and we would also have some really cool ops to photograph. LMAOOOO, just kidding ........
