Hello all,
I am registered in a professional photography certificate course at our local college. Photography has always been a passion of mine and up until now, it has only been a hobby. I was wondering if anyone out there may have any good questions that I should ask on my market survey as I plan on being self-employed when I have completed the 1 year program. Maybe there is a different part of photography I could add to my business?
The market survey is to determine what type of market is available for photographer's and will go out to 100 people. I want to find out, if I was to become a professional photographer, is there a need for wedding, portrait, commercial, etc. or something unique I could offer that other photographers do not? I have heard it is a tough business to survive in, but the coordinator at the college has told me they are in demand here? Photography has been the only hobby I have ever had that makes hours of work feel like minutes, and I love it! I have been in management in a corporate environment for years but left my job to become a full-time Mom. I am now ready to embark on my next career path and have decided it has to be something I am passionate about!
