I am finding that I use small RAW on my 40D more and more... It takes less room that large RAW and still get the benefits of RAW.... Anyone else use this?

My mistake has been seeking new landscapes. I should have been seeking new light.
I mostly use full RAW on my 40D. I made the switch from jpeg 6mths ago. I figured memory and drives are cheap. I can still shoot all day with the 2 x 4gb cards I have. The only impact is burst mode for sports, which I sometimes shoot in jpeg anyway. I so often find I need to really crop down an image because I was a max zoom that I always take the largest dimension image available.

I shoot raw on my d70. If you can spend the extra buck on an extreme memory card. they are good and fast, i am now able to get 3.5 fps on raw with an extreme card. Its handy for sure
