Hi,
I'm going to be covering an event this summer that will be completely new for me - shooting a competitive sailing regatta from the official boat, a Zodiac inflatable. I shoot with a Canon 40D and have an EF-S 17-55 F2.8 and an EF 70-200 F4L.
First thing I'm thinking is that I might need a second body. I do have C/PL filters for both lenses, and expect I'll need those to minimize glare from the water's surface as well as minimize blown out skies. Also, I'm considering whether I should attach a float to my camera in case it goes into the water (sure hope it doesn't) or whether the best security might be to attach it to myself. Would the body or lens be severely or irreparably damaged by immersion anyway, rendering a float useless?
Any other technical or artistic tips?
Thanks!!![]()
