    Default Contact Toronto Photography Festival

This is the Contact the Toronto Photography Festival running from May 1 to May 31. They expect over a million visitors this year. For those in Toronto or in the GTA it is worth going and seeing what other photographers are doing. If your not in the GTA still might be worth the trip, a very unique photography festival. They just released the schedule for the entire months events. This year is my first year being involved and looking forward to it. Here it the site with all the details and pertinent information can be found here.

It's been a number of years since i last went, but I've been to this event a few times. It's amazing!

There's nothing like seeing a beautiful print up close.

Well 3 days late but I finally have 7 photos at the gallery for the show this year. Not sure but been going through a stunned phase, broke two frames, then broke the glass in another and left to the very last minute my choice in photos. They wanted them by the 20th but just couldn't do it and since they like me they they cut me some slack. Had to get the frames fixed and a piece of glass cut so that delayed me a few days. Every photo I printed I was awed by how much better they looked in print and framed then the look on a computer monitor.

I know what I will be doing a good part of May checking out many other venues and seeing works from other photographers. Should be an interesting month. I have been to them over the years but first year I am actually part of it, so it has a different feel for me this time. And for someone who prefers seeing the photos in print and those like me this is great time to see photos how they were meant to be seen printed and framed.

    CONGRATS on getting in!!
If you see any photographers or artists that you like, I'd love it if you could post a few links to their work (including your own ).

I was going to try to make the event, but I don't think I'll be able to this year.

    Thx - marko
