You have an iPhone, right? For less than $5 you could try FocusStacker. No user reviews on it yet in the app store, so maybe do a search elsewhere before you buy. I'd highly recommend to anyone the use of an android device with your photography. There are many, many more well thought out photography apps available for the droids. I have a couple of very capable apps that among other features will automate the process of capture for stacking. Plug your camera in, set the nearest and furtherest focus points you want to use, and then just hit the shutter button on the screen. The rest is magic. I'll get around to trying that feature one day. Maybe.
