Ok, then... when do we get started? What kind of a timeline do we want to put on this?
I'm getting into the game late but I'll play....
We could choose to make this a separate thing no worries at all.
If we wanted to make it the level 2 assignment for next month, that's also an idea that I'm just throwing out....and that would give 30 days....not sure if people feel that's too long...again just throwin'.

Oooh, I like that idea of a level 2 challenge... we could pick any say 5 day period or 3 day period within the 31 days of August and take 12 shots. Then you have to post all 12 shots.
- No editing (including cropping)
- JPG only (no RAW)
- B&W's must be done in-camera
- 12 successive shots
WOW. I just threw this out as a suggestion. Didn't realize this would become a serious challenge/competition. Oh well since I suggested it I guess I better join in. With my general success rate in exposure, etc this could be embarrassing. I have a feeling I'm going to prove that this is harder than you think.
As a suggestion, perhaps we should each have a separate post. If we get a lot of people joining in, this could result in a post with a huge number of pictures (people x 12) and could be a bit unwieldy.
By the way, even though they are jpeg, they will still have to be resized to fit in the limits of 1024 and 275kb so I'm not sure what's the point unless you plan on using a small point and shoot or iPhone.

yes this is true - the photos will need to be resized and saved for web - but aside from that we are on the honour system. No processing of ANY kind, not even cropping. This part will be very hard actually because many viewfinders do NOT show a 100% view...but it is what it is.
We could even state the width for horizontal images and the width for vertical images. (I'd suggest 800 width and 500 width for horizontal and vertical images respectively)
This WILL be hard for sure...and it will be a fab learning experience.
If people are okay with it being a level 2 assignment....then I'll make it so on august 1.
The only issue I see is what asnow mentioned about posting 12 images...... Not sure how to handle that part....
It would be most cohesive if the images were posted in the same thread...but 12 is a lot. We could reduce it to 8 images.... I'm open to suggestions on this.
Thx!

I'll be in. Although I haven't taken 12 images in a week other than sport shots for quite a while.

How about we pick and post our top 4 images. That way we don't clutter up the thread too much and you have some room for error
