    Default community service with photography

I have been trying to find a way to donate my time for a good cause. I'd like to do something with kids, but I'm not sure what exactly. I think it would be rewarding to provide family portraits or child portraits to families who can not afford them.

Has anyone done something like this? Any ideas?

    Hi Morgan,
It's certainly a nice thing to do. I'm a big believer in volunteerism
You'd need to find needy people to photograph. Maybe a local charity or church or other religious/spiritual establishment could have interested people for you. Either way - sounds like a nice project and possible portfolio.
    Good luck!

I found exactly what I want to do
    http://www.littlestheroesproject.org...ject/Home.html

You take pictures of kids who are very sick or have recovered from a serious illness.

I work next to a major hospital where kids come from all over.

applications are due jan 30th. I'm going to be taking lots of kid pics before then. I'm flying home for the holidays & already have lots of little models lined up. right now I only have one set of kid pics in my portfolio (from the last time i flew home). I feel like I need more to apply for this program.
