    I'd convert it to monochrome .... and see what happens.

    Thanks for the suggestion. So many choices. How about this: I like the highlighted sail and the contrasting shadow . The water isn't too blown out.

    Retaining a bit of detail on the two boys might add some interest to the mono version.

    Overall the composition and clarity are great in both shots. The first has a distinct yellow cast though.

    Matt I agree, it is better in Black and white. MA, I see what you mean about the sailors remaining in detail. Thanks for the comments.
