pine cone

This is a discussion on pine cone within the Critiques forums, part of the Photography & Fine art photography category; I like this shot as well....it pops! My instinct is with Iggy though - I would have framed this differently ...

    I like this shot as well....it pops! My instinct is with Iggy though - I would have framed this differently using the rule. As it is though, I would crop a bit (1-2 inches) straight off the top. There is also a beige object, likely another pinecone on the bottom edge. To me it's distracting.
