Wow these are very nice! I love the texture. Cows are hard to resist. I have never shot them this close. Need to go out and find some cows. Not hard to do around here.

    Default Wrong "U"

Not what I expected to see... wet noses.
The Type IXC/40 boat U-889 - German U-boats of WWII - uboat.net .... the one my Dad captured came to mind. Good job, check your shoes.

    Cheers,

Great lighting in that 1st shot Kev!! Very cool.

The 2nd IS cropped too tight for my liking .... I'd have used the 1st shot and either cropped just inside the tag or cut the face in half and kept ... hmmm ... either really I'm guessing that 2nd shot is as you took it and not cropped afterward.

And Neil ... don't write off the old cow as a weapon of war ... you ever been around one when it let off a decent Methane Bomb?

the first one is a nice perspective. In the second one I think it's too close to the cow's left eye and the bottom jaw is cut off. I would either have the whole nose and mouth or none.

and FYI: a cow produces more methane orally then with flatulence.

About 23% of the Global warming actually ... but Methane is about 20 times more destructive to the ozone layer than CO2 is ... I think ... from memory?

I expected U-boats too, but I like these cows with their nicely textured fur? just fine. I'd agree the second one is cropped too much.

I think methane can be also be captured and used as a fuel, though the equipment to do so is rather expensive.
