    This was actually taken from the top of Citadel Hill in Halifax and is a full size real city. The processing was done in Gimp. I duplicated the image in a second layer. One layer was blurred quite a bit and I used an unsharp mask on the other layer. I created a layer mask and tried to expose sharpness at a specific distance which gets you that miniature look. I found it tricky to figure out the right distance for this shot because of the angle. Apparently, by everyone's reaction, it's pretty close
