Hi everyone !

I was so busy that I didn't had time for even 1 photo, but last weekend I did some photos to my friends that are waiting a baby.
Light? just an 150 W soft light-bulb :(

In one photo you still can see a spot that I'll remove it with PS, because I couldn't remove it for good with Lightroom.

I just wanna know what you think overall about this photos.

The 3rd one is my fave....the softness adds to the overall feel of the photo, I think.

Hey Lovin! Robert isn't it?? Good to see you again.

I also like the 3rd shot because the shadow and light work well in this one. The pose isn't bad either.

The 1st shot is too soft more me ... just looks out of focus.

The 2nd shot is is a nice pose also from both subjects, again looks a bit on the soft side.

I think in both the 2nd and 3rd shots you should have used portrait orientation rather than landscape. Your subject(s) are longer than they are wide so portrait would suit better in my opinion.

Yes MA, Robert - Robert Lovin.
In first the softness is because was kind of out of focus - wrong metering zone :( Also photos are made at ISO 800 because of the low light. I tried my best with my Olympus E620.
I don't have too much experience in working with "real" subjects, like people, but was an interesting and exciting experience, and now I want more
I'll try one more photo session, to improve the photos, the pose and my skills.

I too like the 3rd the best because of the light,shadow and pose.

I do like the other 2. Especially the ideas and setup. The crop in the first seems a little tight, or not tight enough. I think it depends on what else would be in the shot if you opened it up. I think MA is right about the 2nd one. The colour and lighting on the wall are cool, but the subjects are the people and portrait would focus more on them.

I love it when people get creative with basic tools

Here's my take on this
Shot 1 - I like the composition here overall. The shot has a fairlt strong reddish cast to my monitor. It would have been better to include all of the fingers.

Shot 2 - Is my fave of the set, despite the fact that it not sharp. Lovely loving mood here.

Shot 3 - Has the most interesting light. It's making the models body look cool, but i find the lighting harsh on the face.

I would guess that all 3 shots are suffering from compression from the forum's software. Please make sure that individual photos that are directly uploaded are around 245k or less BEFORE you upload them.

Just as an FYI, the reason the software does this, is to stop people from uploading images of 2-10 megs....
