Very interesting image cadcamslave, quite abstract.

I like the top diagonal 2/3 of this image very much, But you've lost me on the diagonal bottom 1/3 where it is mostly black except for the whitish ice which is stealing my attention.

A good tip is to always be aware of where the eye rests and it often rests on the brighter elements of the image. Due to this, it's important to be very aware of highlights both during exposure/composition and post processing.
    Hope that helps - Marko

Well I don't mind it ... and considering where CCS is with his photography ... this shows great promise that he thinking much more about his composition and perspectives now, so good points earned there from me.

I'm thinking if the distractions are an issue ... and with the texture and high dynamic range here ... this might work well as a B&W.

Thanks all. I focused on the crack in the iron, with the texture as background, but I see that I should have focused on the texture with the crack as secondary or tertiary.

Just something I walked by and shot, no tripod, no planning.

Well perhaps composition is becoming more natural to you now then!
