Well captured! But, since this is the critique thread: I think just a little more work with levels and curves to bring out some of the feather detail, especially on his left wing and under his throat.

I'll add, maybe a way to soften the background a bit. The branch on the upper right calls my name.
I got a half dozen shots or so that day. I think this one is a little better. Can I bother you for more opinions?

my preference is for the first one. The second looks too sharp to me.
Feel free to make comments on any of my shots

A painter takes their vision and makes it a reality. A photographer takes reality and makes it their vision.
You can definitely see more of the birds feathers in the second shot but along with that... a lot of noise. It's neat to see the feat stand out soo much compare to the bench..is that from the dof or pp?
Ok. I am too tired... I shouldn't be editing photos. That is totally PP. I thought the problem with the first shot was that I sharpened the whole thing which sharpened the bokeh and made it distracting. This time I took the time to isolate the pigeon but I should have included the bench... d'oh!
Night-night...
You did well, my friend.
I missed this one iggy! I prefer shot 1 which is VERY well done!![]()

I am not a big fan of pidgeons but this guy seems like he is from some Disney story, with purple scarf and all. Nice image.
