Hi there,
These are okay shots. I like the graphic quality of shot 1 the best. The upper part of the sky is a bit too bright in my opinion so I'd burn it in or consider how it would look cropped.
Shot 2 is also okay, but it's missing something. I think I would have liked you to get closer.
Shot 3 is underexposed by maybe 2 stops. It should be even more underexposed if it's that silouette look you are going for. Personally i would like to see all the details and have the shot properly exposed.
Hope that helps,
marko

Interesting shots but exposure is a problem as Marko mentioned. What would tremendously help bring better exposure and detail into your foregrounds is the use of a graduated neutral density filter.
If you are good with Photoshop, the second and third images can be improved quite a bit in postprocessing.

Thanks for the comments - I was working with a fixed lens camera on these. I will look at doing the first one with the sky cropped. Could be interesting. Also have the following.
Just for everyone's information, filters can be used on cameras that have been called compact, super zooms, etc. with electronic viewfinders despite the fact that they have fixed lenses.Originally Posted by mosesdog
