Interesting image, but I'm not sure they belong in the critique section as that is more intended for technical and artistic comment. There are definitely some possibilities for really cool images with these cats though.

    HI Katalen
I love how willing you are to put yourself out there for critique. I usually have to stoke up my courage quite a bit!

what I see in these photos are great possibilities but the quality of the photo is interfering. Can I recommend that you download Picasa? it's free and allows for some great edits?

    now for the photos:
I love the expression of the cat in the first photo and that you didn't go for putting him in the dead centre (although that might work with this). However, it is not level and you cut off part of his paw. It's difficult to get animals and not cut off bits . I think that the light is a bit harsh as well but a contrast boost might help.

for the second, there are alot of neat possiblities in a shot with all the ways that the cats are interacting. however, it is just too blurry to get the effect that you intended. and on the right side it is too busy and needs to be cropped out.

I hope that you find this helpful.

    Hi Katalen,

First off--adorable subjects! The thing that jumps out right away is the focus definitely needs to be sharper in both pictures.

In the first shot, like Bambi said before, the cat is pretty much centered dead on, which makes for a less interesting composition. You could pretty easily crop the shot which might make for a more interesting shot (I'd get rid of the cigarette butt on the left side of the frame for sure). I like how you captured the tongue sticking out!

In the second one, there is a lot of opportunity to get some interesting angles with all of the cats lined up the way they are. Next time I would suggest maybe getting a little closer to them. You could try to get one as the primary subject with the others in the background. Lots of possibilities with that many cats!
Please feel free to critique my work.
