Angles and warped frames

This is a discussion on Angles and warped frames within the Critiques forums, part of the Photography & Fine art photography category; I don't mind this shot so much but the frame, it just never looks right, always skewed....

    I don't mind this shot so much but the frame, it just never looks right, always skewed.

    I can't put my finger on it, but yeah, it definitely looks skewed to me.

    i think since the train rocks a bit, it is going to throw off your angles a wee bit... that said, i think the perspective is right on.

    It's the angle of the shot, it was captured with a slight slope on the train. There is some blurring at top and bottom of the shot which adds to this effect. Still, I like this capture, good conversion to b/w!

    I like thie picture, doesnt look skewed to me, actually it doesnt bother me at all.

    I like the heat distortion above the engine too.

    Love the tones and lines. Definitely a good bw image!
