    Awww you've got a 'Sooty'!

This weekend just gone was the anniversary of the death of our Border Collie ... virtually identical to the dog lying down. He was a few days off being 18 yrs old.

Having two must be a handfull!

Cute shot and nice light and exposure but it could be sharper. Hope that helps - marko

    thanks for the comments.

MA: the one standing up is actually an Australian Shepherd (weird name since it was developed in the states) but very similar to a BC. Two is no more work then one really. You still have to go for long walks. and throw the ball/frisbee/stick incessently and ensure that they have enough mental stimulation to stay out of trouble..... (with two they provide that). I hope that they both live to be 18!

Marko, I agree with you on needing to be sharper but on my computer and on the print I developed it's quite sharp. Could it be because it uploaded it to Picasa web albums? does that result in loss of sharpness?

Bambi - Nice photo! would love to see it cropped in a bit closer to highlight the beautiful dogs a bit more.

If you upload an image directly and that image is greater than 250k the forum software compresses the image and it can indeed affect sharpness.

If the photo is less than 250k, no problems at all. Personally, I have yet to upload an image greater than 150K and I find the results more than acceptable. Hope that helps - Marko

I am not sure of the original bloodlines. I suspect Border Collie is in there because of the similarities:

regardless, they are GREAT dogs. Highly intelligent and very people oriented.
