    Yeh, Chantelle's zoom lens has really closed up the perspective to give that impression. I certainly wouldn't be standing there with several thou of camera gear if there was truly a threat. Not to mention it was much darker than that shot shows and quite cool. Getting wet down was not on my agenda at that moment.

    Only used my 18-55 Wide angle for that shot, and yes it was getting dark. He was quite far away from the wave when it hit, but that's why I like the shot because it looks like he was so close to it.

    Ain't that the truth!

    She outdid me completely here. I stood there taking shots of that same wave for some time and did 'ok' ... and then Chantelle swings her camera around ... snaps off one shot ... and gets that great shot!
