Shame about the noise in the darker areas because it's a cool capture.

It's a decent capture imo, though the eye could be a bit sharper. I just wish the goose was doing something a little more interesting.

good idea, but the goose is hiding and in shadow and there's a bit too much noise here

Difficult shot. Lots of contrast. The noise is really high and not sure why. I have a 40D and at 500 ISO my files are clean. It could be that the shadows were underexposed.

My mistake has been seeking new landscapes. I should have been seeking new light.
It is a pretty monochromatic image, did you try doing it Black and white?
Plus I cont see much of what you wanted to say in this image.
