I'd like to get some comments on this one. This was taken on a drive from Phoenix Arizona to Sedona Arizona. THAT is one heck of an amazing drive, perhaps the most beautiful I have ever taken.

The common problem for scenic photographers is a good but flat scene with a centre of interest that needs to be a strong vertical to give perspective and impact to the photo. The clouds and the texture of the ground certainly help but the viewer's eye needs to be drawn to some prominent visual subject. In this case the tree needs to take up more of the picture and be more prominent, so a much closer camera angle with a wide angle lens might be a good approach.

I think it does need a stronger visual presence but I quite like the clouds.
