I would like to know if this paint technique looks OK? The colours don't look right here I need to calibrate the monitor
This is a discussion on Photoshop attempt within the Critiques forums, part of the Photography & Fine art photography category; I would like to know if this paint technique looks OK? The colours don't look right here I need to ...
i see you're playing with filters! it looks nice except you isolated the face of the woman and did not apply the (was it pallette knife) filter on her face.
it would have been better if you applied the filter on the whole image and then applied another filter, texturizer - burlap, to make it really look like a painting. the colors look alright on my monitor.
remember this is only my opinion!
The colours look fine on my monitor as well but for this image I find the filter technique to be a distraction. It detracts from this portrait imo.

Thanks for the feedback. I was trying to make the background distorted to focus on my wife. I'll have to try other techniques. She had a little smile since she just qualified to run the Boston marathon seconds before this shot.
