This is a discussion on Dance! within the Critiques forums, part of the Photography & Fine art photography category; This reminded me of those expressive Spanish dances with lots of skirt flipping....

beautiful colors
Love the colour! Nice captures.
Fantastic colors!!! I'm in love with the second one..the composition there is killer to me!

I don't know, Raiven ... Maybe it's just because of all your awesome shots lately, but for some reason, these aren't working for me. I like the colours, but I'm not too keen on the comp. And I think I'd prefer the focus in the second to be on the ovary (?) instead of the anthers (?). Maybe it's just me though?

I'm with gem on this one. The colours are awesome. But the thick foreground petal on the right in shot one and the left in shot two are too soft and too in my line of sight (especially in shot 1)
The comp is much better in shot 2. Maybe if that center left petal was darker and sharrpened more?...
Also the central sliced mushroom element in shot 2 should be the sharpest element in the shot imo. Looks like you went a bit too large on the aperture what was it?
Hope that helps
