A very good shot, but to point out a problem, the focus was on the pads and the level of the water which unfortunately softened the focus on the lily itself which was your centre of interest. Greater depth of field would have really helped this shot or perhaps selective postprocessing for sharpness.

That is a very good point tegan, I missed that the first time I looked at this photograph. I still think it's a really nice shot but perhaps because of the sharpness it's an 8.5 on ten as opposed to a 9.5.
