Here's three photo's I took this morning as the sun slowly raised. Which is more effective?
I think I like 3,1,2 in that order. Maybe if 2 was even closer it might have been better.
Great eye nonetheless. Tones and exposure great too.

Interesting - I actually favour shot 2 from this lot. I really like the graphic quality of the (sculpture?). Tones and exposure are good too as Antz remarked.

I like 1-2-3 in that order. I find the trees to the left of #3 a bit distracting. I like the composition of #1 best.
