No critiques?
Hmm..missed this one! Are they lined up totem poles? I don't mind the shot. I really don't know how to critique this. At first glance I would of moved over a foot or two to the right. Just so I could get a bit of "they are lined up" see the side/back of the them feel. Oh dear, this doesn't make much sense. Sorry.
My new blog as of Nov/10

Kat, once again you made me laugh. Its a critique, it doesnt matter if it makes sense or not.....
I totally understand what Kat was saying. I might have taken a slight step to the right. Then would have used some extra telephoto range. Maybe you were at 55mm, and I probably would have tried 80.
To simulate this in PP, try cropping the left and right side of the image so you cut a little off each totem pole. This will fill the frame with nothing but the poles, and you will still get that 'lined up' effect.

Photography is more than just taking a picture and freezing the action, or leaving the shutter open. It is more than orchestrating the image with the stroke of a brush. Its the realization and explanation that reality is an isolated experience in which only a specific individual can comprehend during any given time period. - Your Truly!
I like it very much. The only changes I would have made are I would have included the mouth on the coloured head and I would straighten the 3rd head.
Good shot.
Is this better ?
About the smile crop, it's kind of impossible, because it's not in the frame
I personally like this much more. How about you?
