Im sure you are going to get many people who dislike this. Personally I like this kind of stuff. When composed correctly, the most simple pictures make the most extraordinary images. I like the concept here. Definitely my style. The straight pole against a nice blue sky. Instead of a pure blue sky, the clouds offer something else but in a very subtle way. The pole is a little too bright for my liking, and I think you probably should have used a circular polarizer(a must for this stuff). The concept here is great as well. I think a CP would have helped our greatly. The clouds would have popped a lot more and the sky would have been a deep blue. It would have probably brought out some more detail in the post as well. I like seeing this kind of stuff as you can probably tell. Keep them coming.

Photography is more than just taking a picture and freezing the action, or leaving the shutter open. It is more than orchestrating the image with the stroke of a brush. Its the realization and explanation that reality is an isolated experience in which only a specific individual can comprehend during any given time period. - Your Truly!

I think the first one is but not by much. Its pretty much the same image, the could formation is just a little different. It might work as a B&W image though.
