Default Photo 1 Vs Photo 2

I drove past these Bottle Trees every day for a couple of weeks, and just had to take their photo. Unfortunately I only ever take my point and shoot when traveling to site for work.

In any case, I was just after some thoughts on Photo 1 Vs Photo 2. Which one and why. The tones on the original make it pretty much useless with out this level of pp. They were taken in poor light with an average point and shoot at full zoom.

Photo 1 is the winner for me. I like how in that photo the trees look better against the sky. The foreground also has richer more appealing tones.

You should know though that mood has totally changed in the 2 treatments. Shot 2 looks like it's about to storm.

Thanks Marko. Photo 2 is closer to the original. It was quite a dreary day. So much so that there is a mountain in the background that has totally disappeared. I just added a gradient filter and increased the blacks. What I like about photo 2 is the way it highlights the form of these interesting trees.
