    Default Which, if either

Is the first one okay with the left eye only being 1/3 of an eye? I've croped it but then I'm missing the tongue.

The second shot better than the first, even with no eye in it? Or neither?
I'm getting a big collage done with my kids photos and sometimes it's hard to weed them out...being mom and all

Is the first one cropped from a bigger version? Cause I'm thinking it might be better cropped the other way...? With the left eye cropped out, it'd be easier to include both the right eye and the tongue. It's definitely a cute pic!

For the second one, I like it but I think it could have been better if the nose wasn't cut off.

These pics aren't touched. I wish I would of had the left eye but nope. :(

I just love her little curly hair! I don't have to many photos with her hair all like that. If I recall right, lol, I think I was trying to get an eye shot for a themed fun contest thing and at the time, only thought it mattered if I had an eyeball in the photo. Whew to learning more about composition.

They are both cute and in a collage, I think the crop would be okay.

I think as photos the 2nd one is a nice new angle. I'm not drawn to the 1st at all.

HOWEVER, in the context of a collage then I think both might work fine.

Oops, my bad. I was looking at it from a non-collage way. I think both could work as is in a collage

As a collage they both work but in terms of their qualities as photographs....shot 1 has blurry eyes.

Shot 2 is very cute though I may have cropped out just a bit more nose and sharpened the eyelash a wee bit.
    Hope that helps

    Thanks Marko!

Personally, the more I look at the two - the more I think I'm not going to put them in. I have to many other ones that are better. Although I can make them fairly small in the collage, one may not notice the flaws as much..although I would still... Ha ha.. see the joys of critiques.

Nah.. I knew before I posted. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't only me!

    Thanks again everyone!

As you probably realize they are prize winning images. You are right when you say people will not notice the flaws of the individual pictures as much in a collage. Either way, they are really good pictures, with some minor detail flaws. They would definitely get the average joe to look and say nice picture. With that I think you are ok. I think these are great additions to the collage, good work.

Photography is more than just taking a picture and freezing the action, or leaving the shutter open. It is more than orchestrating the image with the stroke of a brush. Its the realization and explanation that reality is an isolated experience in which only a specific individual can comprehend during any given time period. - Your Truly!
