    Default Self Indulgence

Was playing around with a self portrait and a storm shot I took recently and wondered if it appealed at all?

No ... I do NOT have a God complex ... I've just had a big day doing graphic art and decided to play a little

Mad Aussie, nice image - you do great work.

For me, the right side just does not seem to blend with the left side. Actually I like the blending of the bottom half better. The darker portrait works for me. (I've just been trying to turn my head upside down to examine it. Glad there was no web cam on my monitor)

I'm no graphic artist. Just my 's worth.

    And appreciated!!

And yeh ... I was never going to get these two images to totally mesh so it's more of an artwork than anything else I guess.

When I finished I was going to toss it and then thought maybe I'd get some more opinions. Not that I have a real use for this image anyway.

I think playing around and trying different things with images that we're not as emotionally attached to is often when we make creative steps forward.

I agree that the blending could be a bit smoother but I really like this shot and the creativity behind it. Well done!

Maybe if you flipped your self portrait and made the lightning strike from around your face, eyes, or something it might seem a little more powerful. There is a second you on the bottom half so Im not sure what it would look like. Like the idea and all, but this one can stay down under.

I thought I'd lost this one when I saved it otherwise it would have gone up with the other one ... it's what made me think of the 'God complex' comment ...
