Ive always enjoyed this image. Wasnt ever sure if it was one of those greats though. They are the bugs that skate on top of the water due to the surface tension. Whadyallthank?

Photography is more than just taking a picture and freezing the action, or leaving the shutter open. It is more than orchestrating the image with the stroke of a brush. Its the realization and explanation that reality is an isolated experience in which only a specific individual can comprehend during any given time period. - Your Truly!
It's an interesting capture, but from a technical point of view, the large dark area foreground & image right is really distracting. I'd like to see a closer crop on the actual insects, some of the blue cast removed, and possibly an overall brightening.
sorry, JJ not digging the large dark area to viewer's right .. i do like the feel of the blue water and the critters - i even like the squiggle line ....
score. thats what I was looking for. that was actually a log I stayed behind in order for the bugs not to move in my presence. it has always bothered me as well, but it kind of forces your eyes towards the bugs. either way, it was here in the critique section. thanks for the input.

The bugs look like teeny tiny helicopters to me Have to agree with the others though, on the dark area. Should have been, maybe, cropped out?
the bugs look like canadian geese flying over a mountain lol
i like it, i agree tho, the bottom is distracting, i personally would like to see a little bit of the bottom kept...
