I like the placement of the subject ... it allows us to follow her gaze and wonder what she's looking at.
Some of the colours appear a little over-saturated, or perhaps it's a yellow hue/cast across the whole pic.
I think I would have either framed this in closer, or further out myself. The kids in the background look accidentally cutoff. Zooming in would have made that purposeful.
Alternatively, and thinking about it it's what I would have chosen, shooting from a slightly lower perspective would have helped there also. A lower POV may also have created a bit more interest actually.

I like the contrasting red against blue. I quite like the angle of the shot, but agree that it would be stronger without the other kids in the background. I think you have done well under the circumstances.
