    Default Busking at the Market

Shot of a busker at a market. I had to crop a little from the left to remove a distracting element. Looking for feedback about composition, B/W processing, etc. I would also like to know if the background adds or detracts from the image (my intent was to add some of the environment to the scene).

BW tones looks decent to me overall though some of the whites behind him could be toned down.
Composition looks fine to me as well.
As for the story of the image, there's not much intensity here I'm afraid. I'd have liked to see a more special moment where the busker is connecting with us or with an admirer. (just my 2 cents)

I think the background is interesting, but I also think he blends into it a little too much. As far as composition I would like a tiny bit more room above is head. To me it feels like his heads getting squished.

Marko, keep giving me your two cents and soon I'll have a fortune!

Realist, I see what you mean about blending in. Anyway to make him pop separate from the background? If I gave more headroom I would cut off the bags and gear from the bottom which I would not like the look off, but I do see your point. Thanks for the comments!

I think separating him from the background would be done by contrast. Unfortunately he's wearing a light shirt against bright objects, if it were a dark shirt it would separate more. Nothing you have control over really.
