    Default More sunset attempts

Finally! It was a beautiful day here, went to a warm -4 (compare to -40)!!!

And then we got a nice sunset to boot.

On the way to the store stoped and got a couple shots. There are three here and two more..but I don't want to put out too much and drive everyone nuts.

I wish that these photos could be lighter..but I didn't get too fool around enough to get exactly what I wanted..ideas???!!!

Nice Kat! I like the first one the most, the colour, tones and the sparkling snow flakes in the fore ground.

Number three. I like the shadows of the tree and the branches against the sunset. The first two are good as well. Nice job.

Photography is more than just taking a picture and freezing the action, or leaving the shutter open. It is more than orchestrating the image with the stroke of a brush. Its the realization and explanation that reality is an isolated experience in which only a specific individual can comprehend during any given time period. - Your Truly!

Number 3 stands out for me too. Love the light/shadow thing. Would like to have seen more of the tree top though I think and perhaps even more of the shadow. I can see that shot in my mind done with a wide angle

You guys must get sick of snow I guess ... I have to travel 14 hours by car to see it here in Aussie.

Sitting here in 33 degrees I'd love some snow right now thanks!! It gets too hot around here to even go enjoy the surf and someone has told the sharks the meals are free. Shark attacks seem to be common place over here at present.
I'd love to stay somewhere where's there's powder snow around for a week or two.

I agree with Kat. I love the snow and can deal with that, but its the cold. It was -25 here yesterday. That is in centigrade, but its bad when you walk outside and the inside of your nose instantly freezes. Your batteries die, camera runs slowly. Cars act like slugs. You can have snow when its 0, but -20? Please.
