Farine Five Roses II - Montreal

I shot a similar scene a few weeks back when it was darker - this time got there earlier. Please comment or critique on any aspect.

I am not sure which I prefer Marko. The composition feels more balanced than the last one, and I really love the extra sweeping highway. The inclusion of the container handling depot (left) and the power lines make it feel more industrial and less "pretty". This is also probably beacuse more detail is captured being lighter. The smoke (reflection?) bottom right is more pronounced. Of course the elephant in the room is the missing "O" - not sure about this, but may actually add to the industrial feel (?)

I think I like the darker one better. This one seems really busy, too busy, compared to the other one. We look at what's in the light, and the darkness invokes curiosity that keeps our minds going. This scene to me looks like a miniature model which I like, it's just too busy. Quality, and lighting on this photo I think are very good though.

As far as compo is concern the similar scene is much better.

I totally agree with this. The darker one is less busy and creates a better contrast. This one has many more elements to distract the observer. The main subject is the highway and its lights but at some point it competes with other elements I feel.
