Black and White Processing

My little 16 year old model (whom I've known for 16 years) is always eager to help me practice my hobby. These are from a session we did last week and I thought these 2 would be good subjects to practice on my b/w learning. My goal is to get the most contrasted images without too much loss of detail from either being too black or blown out whites in the subject. Would appreciate any helpful input.

They look spot on to me Lorey. Not sure I like the vignette in the 2nd shot.

first off- lovely model!! She's a natural.

My only two (minor) nits are the white areas in the first one just above her shoulder and the blown out tree bottom in the second photo. but this is just me being picky. I suck at portraits.

Wow! Been a while since I posted this - a month. Kind of forgot about it. MA, thanks. Just MO I don't think the vignette is too much. I wanted most of the lighted area to focus on her. Thanks Bambi. I never noticed that blown out spot before, but it does seem to be the brightest spot in the pic. Guess I could tone it down a bit in PP. Thanks much to you both for viewing a the input. I really appreciate it.
